Why Upgrade?Daiwa BG reels are tough and reliable, but the line roller comes with plastic bushings instead of ball bearings like in other high-performance reels. The line roller is one of the hardest-working moving parts on your reel and is constantly exposed to corrosive salt, grit, and debris from the fishing line. Over time, line rollers using plastic bushings can seize up, cause line twist, make your reel feel rough or noisy, and even wear a small groove into the line roller which will fray and damage your fishing line. 
The SolutionThis simple upgrade replaces the plastic bushings with a stainless steel ball bearing. That means:

• Smoother line roller action when fighting fish
• Less line twist and a smoother/quieter reel
• Longer-lasting reel performance with less maintenance

Any Drawbacks?None! Installation takes only a few minutes using the original parts from your reel. You can also switch back to bushings anytime.
